Two things: Obama never said lead from behind, but Libya went a lot better than Iraq did. Also, Obama’s leading from in front, according to current polls. Romney’s trying, but it’s hard to lead from the gutter.
Well, from my slant, Obama IS smarter, faster, he’s definately a winner or he wouldn’t be President now, and while he can Lose, he’s been leading us slowly out of the mess of the previous 8 years despite obstruction by Republicans and arrogance from Democrats. Leading from behind… in car and bike racing that’s called drafting and its done just before the sprint to the finish.I just wish I knew which Romney would be President if he won. Governor Romney, or Republican Primary Romney. And not even his supporters can tell me.sadly,C.
Which Mitt is running for Pres now? Oh yes, I remember the last debate – the current Mitt is the one who agrees with everything Obama is doing. The big problem is which Mitt would want to be president, we don’t know. It depends on the current polls and who he happens to be taliking to at that moment.
Lisa Benson annoys me not because she’s a right-winger, but because she’s so rarely funny or informative. This cartoon is a perfect example of her simply using GOP talking points rather than crafting an original humorous thought.
We’re evolving Howgozit. :)I’m agreeing with points in this cartoon and you’re agreeing with some of my points.Got to go on that fishing trip to work out the rest.Ever driven a heavily loaded truck up a steep hill? As you get closer and closer to the top, the truck gets slower and slower…sometimes coming to a crawl. But once you get passed that obstacle, the opportunity to increase the speed happens and the next concern is, how are the brakes? If our legislature can work together with whoever the next president is, we have a chance for a smooth, fast, safe ride. If not…it won’t be good.Appreciate the tone neighbor. If our legislators could talk to each other at least as well as you and I, we might see some bipartisanship.Respectfully,C.
Ohio early voting, Obama is getting 60% of the vote. I keep waiting for ansonia “the great fact demander”, to ever come up with any about Mitt’s “positives”.
“Stop the spending.”-Actually, he’s proposing increased spending for the military, and a net gain in overall spending unless he can get more revenue, which he hasn’t identified where he’ll get it from.
“Obama sat for 25 years in a church hearing the pastor say “G-d damm America!” and “America’s chickennnnnnsss are coming hoooommme to rooooooosssttt.” He’s saying America is bad! Bad America! "-Certainly you don’t think that saying anything to critisize your country means you dislike it.
“…he didn’t put a crimp in any way in al Qaeda and yes, they are stronger than ever.”-Wait, they’re stronger than when they hijacked 4 airliners, flew 3 into buildings, and sparked a multi-national war?
Just think – in less than two weeks Obama will be claiming he won from behind. I expect him to do like Al Gore and take it all the way to the Supreme Court.
Excellent post! Well written, thought provoking, pointed and true.
I hope somebody besides me gets to read it. Especially drcanuck, eyrx, morty, motive and all the other libs in here that still have a tingling feeling running up and down their leg every time they hear the presidents name.
Good post. I would like to do a point by point debate with you on a number of your assertions, but this cartoon will be gone in another day. I hate how unfriendly the design of this forum is for carrying an actual dialog. We need people willing to speak like you have here. We can be oppositional without being bad neighbors.I thank you for the time and thought you put into this and look forward to the day GoComics upgrades their comment pages into something we can use to move our debates forward.Respectfully,C.

“Vote obama out, I did.”-If you’ve voted Obama out, no one else needs to – it’s already done.

“Appeal the behemoth Obamacare…”-I believe you mean REpeal. If so, how will he accomplish that, and what will he replace it with?
