Give the Kid a set of brass knucks and see what he can do. He may not be able to hurt Cap but he could put a real hurting on a bad guy by punching him 4K times in the blink of an eye.

The reason the Flash is so powerful is that he can vibrate his body at incredible speeds, meaning he can phase through solid material. He can also punch with the force of a planet. And he can make you look silly, too.
