Texas has become the top destination for people fleeing New York State and California, such that even in my otherwise sleepy town housing prices have doubled over the last decade. Developers are building houses, apartments, and other residential facilities left, right, and center, and it’s still not expected to be enough.
My town is actually expected to almost double in population just like those housing prices, and we barely have the infrastructure (utilities, roadways, retail facilities, et cetra) to handle the population now.
