Lehrer should have given Mitt the hook several times. Obama DID go on too long on some elements, and then didn’t respond well, but I wouldn’t call this event a “debate”. For Mitt it was “hope and change”. In that he hoped nobody would notice he’d changed his stance on almost every position he’s maintained not just in the campaign, but his entire career in politics.
