They over planted the zucchini crop again this year.

A lot of folks our age wake up at that time anyway, whether we’ve slept well or not.

Crane, don’t be silly! You take it with you Sunday morning, then during the singing you slip out discreetly to the restroom… and any car in the parking lot that’s unlocked gets a Blessing! (Tomatoes too!)

It’s 4:48 as I write this and I am having a terrible case of insomnia! Woke up Mon morning to flooded house, and now have the biggest mess you can imagine. (Broken pipe) Can’t sleep thinking of everything I have to do once the fans and dehumidifier are removed this afternoon. Oh, woe is me!

I’m awake at that time so you can’t sneak it up on me, Opal. I’ll see you coming.

Didn’t they “deliver” zucchini just a couple of weeks ago?

slug_queen: Don’t dare bring zucchinis near my car, but tomatoes? It’s the Prius full of surplus bread for the food pantry.

Zucchini and tomatoes…the gift that just keeps on giving

There are three definitions of twilight: civil twilight begins half an hour before sunrise; nautical twilight about an hour before sunrise and astronomical twilight an hour and a half before sunrise. So it’s not always darkest before the dawn.

I think the painting in this strip is superior, the colors are beautiful and the shading sends it over the top..look forward to enjoying it every day. congratulations to the person responsible.

I have always liked Opal, but now I have to officially state that she is nuts! Danged if I’d get up at 4:30 in the wee hours of the morning to deliver zucchini!

Cartoonacy, I suppose you’re right. About the colorists, and definitely about the ratatouille.

Of course Brian could make a quick appearance and tell us for sure! :-D

As it turns out, I’m cooking zucchini on the stove right now with olive oil, fresh garlic, fresh oregano, grated Romano mixed with farfelle.

Zucchini has no taste. You sprinkle it with something, that’s what it tastes like. Thanks, but I’ll pass.
