If the best Al Quida can do is underwear bombs, somebody must be doing something right.

Sure they could have stopped him from getting on a plane had they been paying attention, but now they will do better. Or else the President will have words with them.

Human incompetence in both “planning” the bomb, and in security IN THE NETHERLANDS, with some HUMAN COMPETENCE in controlling the developing situation on the plane, with some COURAGE TO ACT- resolved this situation.

That MILLIONS of people fly EVERY DAY without incident shows that the system overall DOES WORK!

The reaction is like saying that if you have a flat tire after running over a nail it becomes a constant threat that you should worry about every time you start your car!

BIRDS have brought down, or damaged, a LOT MORE aircraft than “terrorists”.

While some airports, and folks, seem to think we should destroy all birds to protect planes when airports are built IN BIRD HABITAT, life on earth cannot stop because humans are occasionally inconvenienced in their self-absorbed activities.

The worst Concorde crash happened because they hit a part that fell off a previous aircraft, and well, had a flat tire.

Humans should indeed start accepting some responsibility for “human error”.
