    my son and his girlfriend will text each other and be sitting next to each other on the couch

    personally, i have text block on my phone, if you want to talk to me, speak up

    The only text messages I get are from my phone company, telling me about their texting plans. I don’t plan to text. I don’t even text unplanned.

    this panel was hilarious to me. I actually do text someone in the same room on occasion. I may be rudely commenting on a third person or an ongoing situation where we don’t want to bother the participants. I have also texted my sister while talking with her on a landline. it’s fun to multitask. but no, I don’t text and drive. and driving a manual transmission, I don’t talk on the phone while driving unless I am using an hands-free device, so please don’t lecture me. yes, I am in my 40’s.

    I couldn’t agree with you any more. My grand kids will be setting in the same room and text each other. What happened to the good old mouth too ear communications.
