Season after season, we had a bird flying into our transom window over our front door. He would actually sit on the sill and try and try to get through it. We put up reflective stickers and even purchased a large plastic owl. Nothing worked, so I took down the eyesores and after several years, the bird stopped coming. I think the head banging caused bird-brain damage.

Birds also tend to fly into windows when pigs are behind them.
