You are concerned about bring the fetus to term regardless of the consequences on that fetus, the mother, the family, and the community. That perspective has it’s merit but it completely misses the point of the Supreme Court decision.
Roe v. Wade gave women the right to terminate a pregnancy. The Religious Republicans have been trying to erode that right for years and win some and lose some. This latest move by Texas was a wholesale elimination of that right by closing down the clinics that could provide that service.
You think there is no good reason for an abortion and I get that. But what you think isn’t (and shouldn’t be) important to the woman who is faced with this situation.
Apparently the legislators didn’t care if the woman was Raped, subjected to Incest etc. They just want to stop the procedure and it appears that they will stop at almost nothing to make that happen.
