That’s why I hire a guy who understands all those words and just tells me how much I’m getting back or how much I gotta pay.

I never cared much for the yearly “tax time” strips, which usually can run for for a while. This happens to them every year, and they have no one to blame except themselves for their mismanagement of their money.

He must be messing with them. I don’t know of any accountant that would read all that to a clueless client (maybe if someone seemed interested). I guess if I was Cathy and Irving’s accountant, I’d want them unconscious too, haha.
Hello Cathy friends! Happy Wednesday! Have a great day, all!

Are Cathy and Irving’s taxes really so complicated that they can’t just bypass “the guy” and do it themselves? The way they spend money — Cathy on clothes and shoes, and Irving on the latest, greatest tech “toys” — I’m willing to bet just about everything I own that after they’ve paid their monthly mortgage and household bills, there’s very little (if anything) left over to invest in their financial futures. They just need to face facts: they’ll NEVER be able to save enough money to retire and will have to work right up until the day they both die!

I am really happy that my accountant translates everything to plain English for me. Of course that is why I hired him in the first place. I don’t mind learning new computer languages but learning accountingese or legalese never appealed to me.
Thank you lindz.coop for sending the birds our way. I doubt that the egrets will make it this far north but we did have a couple of bald eagles nesting in our area last year.
I hope everyone has a nice, uncomplicated by taxes, day today.

Yup—tax time can be an adventure (as I detailed yesterday in my post here about my annual seasonal job). At least we’re never bored …
HI, MOM. Hello, Clan.
