On Andrea's desk: Photo of husband and children, who make it all worthwhile. On Jim's desk: Photo of annual european vacation, which makes it all worthwhile. On Roger's desk: Photo of beach-front cottage, which makes it all worthwhile. On Cathy's desk: Photo of organized bathroom cabinet, which gives hope that whole life will now come into order and that husband, children, european vacation and beach-front cottage will fall into place and make it all worthwhile.
While I haven’t worked outside my house since August 2001, when I DID work, I always kept 2 of my favorite photos in the whole world of my husband and me on my desk — one from our wedding, and one from our Hawaiian honeymoon. Those pictures were like a life-line that kept ME going on a lot of really bad days stuck in a completely depressing, unhappy, unfulfilling, dead-end job for the 3 years that I worked in that hell-hole (before I finally, happily got laid off from there!). So while I think it’s kind of stupid for Cathy to keep a photo of an organized bathroom cabinet on her desk (as opposed to a cute picture of Electra, instead) . . . I’ll just simply say: “Hey! Whatever makes you happy and helps you get through your day until you can go home again!!!!!”
Hi, rgcviper!
lightenup: Glad to hear there’s at least ONE light at the end of your tunnel with the upcoming end of cheerleader competitions this weekend (at least for a while anyhow!). Hopefully there are many more “lights” to come for you!!! ;-)
Hello and Happy Tuesday, “Cathy” clan. Hope everyone had a really nice day today!
