Cathy: Irving asked me to baby-sit his dog while he's out of town. That's the first step toward a relationship for him, mom. I agreed. That's a first step for me. He said he needs me. That's a step for him. I didn't bring up the past. That's a step for me. When he's back in town those steps might lead to other steps, which might lead to other steps... Mom: How many baby steps must one mother witness before she gets to knit a bootie?
Cathy is like a toddler in so many ways. Baby steps, babbling, incoherent thoughts, occasional tantrums… ;-)Good morning, Susan! I’m glad you were here! I was afraid that I was going to be the only one this morning! It was an interesting night with all of the storms. For the first time ever, possible tornados (with 100 mph winds) came to my part of town so I had to get the girls out of bed and go down to the basement. Then it was eerie because almost nothing happened. So we were cautious and stayed in the basement until it was well past us. Bizarre. And my oldest is always nervous about storms so that didn’t help. I do feel for the ones in Indiana and the other states who had to go through destruction and now their lives are torn apart. It is a terrible thing that I never had to go through growing up, but is now a part of my life in the South.Good morning, Aaron! I hope you had a nice night off. I’ll have to check yesterday’s posts later. Hello to GsMom, Billy, KFG, gmforde, rgcviper, lindz.coop, hendelca, Mona, serenasakitty, kittycatpawsare and all the other Cathy nuts rolling around here today!
