I had the exact same thought, mcveinot and WebSpider. Seriously, it was the best ending because people have been saying it for years, and it leaves an open ending that leaves us wondering what’s going on with the baby. Plus it gives her the option to come back later (maybe in a spinoff comic). Excellent, Ms. Guisewite!

Hmm… I wasn’t ready to buy into the “pregnant” theory, but maybe. It doesn’t sound like she’s already pregnant, but that she wants to be, and that she’s forcing Irving to envision it, too.
I bet she tells her parents now, and he AACK!s because she didn’t tell him that was coming.

I’ve been a hugh fan since the beginning. I am going to miss reading CG’s take on life. I hope she doesn’t let us know if Cathy and Irving add to the family either by pregnancy or adoption. I remember seeing an interview with CG years ago when she said Cathy would never get married, so I hope that she at least stays child-free.

i love Cathy comics and i am so sad :( to see them go although iv only been reading them for a short time(I’m only 15) i will miss them terribly, sigh good bye Cathy hope u r pregnant. p.s i saw movement in the back of the car maybe Yakety sax was right adopted TWINS oohh!!
also i think there should be a book with all the comics from the first one to the last one don’t u agree?
