An architect of mass destruction, perhaps…
Calvin’s parents might want to have his mental health checked. This sounds like a very unhealthy fantasy.
I read Calvin and Hobbes for the strong philosophical references. :P
Inherit the Wind Baby
wonder what happened during from “nothing” to “Calvin”
How naive can one be? :D
God had mercy with the doomed and sent his son to help them.
isn’t that funny…
Calvin does his work better
I love the “font” he drew the letters with in this one, and the art.
Architect??? No, with that attitude, more likely a CEO!!!
Will Calvin be become an architect when he grows up? I doubt it!
You never can tell just what is going on in any ones’ mind. Thank the Lord!!
I think God and Calvin actually have a lot in common. Ever stood outside on a starry night looking up at God’s leftover tinkertoys??
I read Calvin and Hobbes for the strong philosophical references.
Myself, I read it for the death, destruction and mayhem!
I would love to see what he would do with a train set….
Calvin will grow up to be okay…after years of therapy.
Calvin wants to be the devil, not God.
An underworld filled with the underlings of Captain Napalm
Judging by the third panel, Calvin lives in the DC Comics universe.
I had a younger cousin like Calvin and my mom said they either turn out to be astronauts or end up in prison, because nothing fazes them- my cousin isn’t an astronaut (or an architect) but luckily he turned out OK!
Dutchboy1 says:”Calvin’s parents might want to have his mental health checked. This sounds like a very unhealthy fantasy.” I say Calvin has normal mental health, he embraces his dark side. Nietzche warned not to cast out your demons, lest you throw away the best part of yourself.
In “Homicide: Life on the Street,” Pembleton tells Baylis you can’t truly love yourself unless you embrace your evil side as well as your good side.
Calvin will name the underworld he created the Fourth Reich.
Now i understand the world. We were created by an over-imaginative six year old with a severe god pathos. Now I see why we have problems as a planet!
Thanks for pointing that out. I heard that Watterson originally had issues with the comic strip peoples.
Also, nice icon.
Ode to Jack Kirby
Architect with a destructive mind!!
This is a fantastic example of comic strips as a serious artistic medium. Well done Bill
