Wow!

This is more accurate then a LOT of people will ever admit…

Last week there was a news article about a cop slur on a coffee cup. It was found by security cameras not to have been done by the staff. The rookie officer confessed to doing it!!! He was suspended or fired or something. Luckily there were security cameras.

It feels weird to be clicking the heart on something as gruesomely topical as this.

Actually police work does not even make the top 10 most dangerous occupations it is about 15th. Fishing/logging are at the top.

Brian, you know better than to characterize a group based on the actions of a few. Why didn’t you DO better? Do you want to make life harder for LEOs?

If there were easy answers to this problem it wouldn’t be a problem.

I’ve had more encounters with police than most people (official business of course) and out of over 75 instances there was only two jerks. Having said that, it only takes one to kill you. One of them threatened to shoot me. That got me to be quiet.

I’m white, and yet I figured it out to be polite like with anyone else only more so because of that cannon on their hip. And the fact they could arrest me and make my life miserable. Recently I found out they are taught to be hair trigger paranoid.

If police officers stopped voting for politicians who are happy to keep highly lethal weapons available to anyone they might have a safer environment. And review boards are a good idea. It’s never wrong to ask questions in a democracy.
