Big Nate by Lincoln Peirce for November 10, 1991
Transcript:
Francis: Have you got your oral report ready for social studies? Nate: Nope! Francis: You don't? But it's due today! Nate: Not for me! Mrs. Godfrey always has us do our reports in alphabetical order! My name's "Wright!" I'm a "W!" She won't get to me until tomorrow! Francis: You always do this! You don't do your work, and then when you get in trouble, you find a way to blame someone else! Nate: Me?? I do not! Francis: Yes you do! You've always got an excuse! It's always anyone's fault but your own! You're nuts, Francis! You don't know what you're talking about! Mrs. Godfrey: Class, I've decided that this week, we'll give our reports starting at the end of the alphabet! That's you, Nate! Nate: Leave it to Wendy Zimmerman to be absent today.
kids who’s surnames start with the first few letters of the alphabet end up being smarter. because they always get called up first (i kind of brake that rule because my surname starts with a ‘W’ and i get b’s and a’s on report cards.)
