Adam: Hurry up, kids! We're gonna be late for the Easter service. Laura: I haven't seen much of those two this morning. Adam: What took you two so long? Clayton: We were hiding Easter eggs! Katy: Yeah! Adam: You said you were too old for an Easter egg hunt. Clayton: No, I meant that this year, we want you and mom to find all the eggs. Adam: Okay, honey. As soon as we get back from church. Now, everyone in the van. You hid some eggs in my seat? Clayton: Yep! Adam: And because we were in such a hurry, you didn't hard-boil them first, did you? Clayton: And there are more in the house! Laura: I guess the yolk is literally on you, Adam. Adam: And I'm a bit "egg-ravated" about it.

I bet BB waited all year to use those puns.

Unless things have changed, the dye solution for Easter eggs has to be hot, so wouldn’t the coloring proces at least soft-boil them?

This joke on Adam went over easy!
You’re just crackin’ yourself up today, eh Susan? :^)

Don’t scoot ‘til you see the milk of the pastor eyes.

Runar: The answer is no. I know because I played a little trick on my sister when I was a kid and Easter fell on April 1. And I got her to crack the egg on her head!

It never would have occurred to me to dye uncooked eggs. My aunts taught me how to do it when I was about three or so.

That’s a good reason to eat all the candy in the little brats’ Easter baskets and tell them they forfeited it with the raw eggs!
Happy Easter!
Yes, you may have noticed that I switched my usual leniency for childhood shennanigans here. This isn’t the same kind of strip that I would usually condone them on. It also isn’t a gag that anyone would get away with in real life.

Thank you for the beautiful link MrsLukeSkywalker.
I agree, not a nice joke when Adam’s dressed for Easter. But funny anyways.

Adam never struck me as the egghead type.

Shikamoo, I was also thinking that Adam was going to sit in raw egg all morning. Poor guy. They’d better make sure to find all of the eggs now, or find them later in worse shape…
