You are so right…Wages stay the same but taxes go up as well as utilities, grocerys and whatever else…If you get a cost of living raise, it is eaten up really fast…

There should be no billionaires, take away their billions. Twenty million is enough for anybody. Bring back Glass Steagall. Bring back the tax rates from the 1950’s and 1960’s. Tightly regulate wall street, the banks and the corporations. They should all be made to open their books to the regulators. The USA needs a viable Socialist party like they have in Europe.

How much is too much?
I am not in favor of putting a cap on how much wealth a person can obtain, but shouldn’t a sense of human decency cause people to impose such a cap on themselves?
If every reasonable need and want is met and there is more than enough money left over, anyone who does not invest the surplus into the betterment of others is not much of a human being as far as I am concerned
Money and wealth are not inherently evil, but greed is

Because he wants his country repaired. Just as you don’t mind the stinken butt rich taking our wealth away for the past 40 years and putting it in their already copious and full pockets.

Too much money is unhealthy for all of us. The Rich, some but not all, have been maneuvering things to get them more wealth at our expense. Soon there will be the first Trillionaire. That will be a sad and bad day.

You should be allowed to make as much money as you are willing to work for. Tax breaks don’t give you more money they just let you keep more of what you earned. After they determine how much money you can have, they will decide how long you can live. Oh that’s right Obama care has already determined that.

That’s if you can get one. The state of Florida hasn’t had a cost of living increase for the regular ‘career service’ employees since October of ’06. The state senate can vote for one for themselves but not everyone else.

If all of the politicians would take a big cut in their huge paychecks, then that would help cut down on our deficit, and people on fixed income could even get a decent cost of living increase..LOL but of course, that’s not going to happen.

I can’t wait until this election is over but my humble opinion is that it’s fair that people are taxed at a percentage. No one should be able to complain that the more you make the more you’re taxed because everyone gets the same percentage.

Forgot to add – about politicians not having their big fancy parties & luxurious vacations at taxpayers expense – especially the President. Also the retirement pay – Ridiculous. Why can’t they get jobs – IF there’s any available, just like everyone else, when they’re out of office. Some past presidents didn’t get the huge paycheck as retirement. Then there’s the expense of all the security even after the Pres. is out of office. All of that really adds up. God Bless America, may Old Glory continue to fly free & may our Constitutional Rights be Upheld !

Socialism isn’t any better than capitalism. If anything it’s worse.
