Or, the person could become more determined to prove the discouragement wrong.
Wow,so powerful,love it.Thanks,Gavin.
Thank you for the life lesson,Gavin. :) (o.o)
This reminds me of what Scott Adams (Dilbert) once said: “Never underestimate the power of a kind word.”
This is a repeat. Good. Some things are worth repeating. This is one.
Yup. Love is the best fertilizer to promote growth.
Artists are sensitive and need encouragement.
The sentiment is great however some of the greatest artists came from a background that did the opposite of encourage.
. . . thank-you for this encouragement for future artists. It is important to draw for enjoyment, though if you can make a career of it, great! If, it is just a hobby that you enjoy, then that’s good, too. Walt Disney once lived in my father’s hometown and he was encouraged by a local doctor. So, encouragement can come from anyone. Thanks, Gavin. I enjoy your art. :) http://www.cravescavesandgraves.com/2014/07/marceline-missouri-main-street-usa.html
I just read that Shel Silverstein’s dad strongly wanted him to stop wasting time drawing and to prepare to take over the family bakery.
It is the joy of a parent to become the cheerleaders of the next generation, and see them go where we could not.
