It’s a sad statement but realistic. Cory is making a good point and I wonder if he himself did not experience such a moment in his life. The insight here is deep.

You know…I’ve liked and followed this strip for a while but currently have almost no idea what is supposed to be actually going on.

Nutshell rendition:
[]
The guy was officially with girl A, but kept ignoring her to answer texts and calls from B, his ex-girlfriend.
[]
A got offended by this and made him ignore his phone for a few hours.
[]
Because he was ignoring his phone for those few hours, he missed the fact that B had sent him a text message simply reading “HELP”.
[]
By the time the guy arrived and got over to her house, B was dead and gone. He’s now feeling guilty for not being there when she needed him most, and A is flipping out because she is indirectly responsible for B’s death but can’t deal with it.

Darren – Don’t forget what the cop said when asked by Corey if she was in trouble. He responded about it depending on her religion – leads me to think it could have been suicide… Even more of a headshaker if Cory could have stopped her from doing that.

It is called depression. People get it when they are in their third month of looking for a job and can’t find one.

@Collieman— I’ve known Cory Thomas for years, so all I will say is the current events in the strip is art imitating life. It was an unbelievable and sudden blow. Very sad.
