Hey, America can’t get involved in your civil war. Get over it!

Not entirely true of course, Iran & Russia are helping out Assad while Saudi Arabia is already providing arms to the Syrian rebels, and soon the EU will start supplying more than non-lethal aid. Jordan & Turkey aiding the refugees, too.

When Syrian Rebals kidnap UN officials for weapons, is that they type of replacement govt we want over there?
This “Civil War” is Syria’s business, they are a soverign nation and responsible for their internal conflicts ect.
Europe and the United States have enough Domestic problems to keep them busy.

@Michyle Glen
Leaving aside the fact that the unarmed UN peace keepers were taken hostage in desperation to keep Assad’s forces bombarding the rebels’ positions[which I found to be counter-productive and do not condone], I rather liked your comment, " is that they type of replacement govt we want over there?"
For someone who consistently comments in this Views section that “we” should just leave “them” to it and to “their” own devices, why on earth would you then write “we want” ?
“You” want? “We” want? I thought it wasn’t up to “us”. I think it is often difficult for some Americans, brought up within the “America is Exceptional” view, not to think the world is theirs to govern according to their worldview.
