   Google turns knowledge into data and they’re not the same thing. KNOWING something is completely different than being able to look it up. Compare this to the dark ages, when knowledge required literacy. Today it requires electricity. And while electricity can’t be taken for granted, literacy can. In some ways, the dark ages make more sense than the post-enlightenment.

   I’ve heard horror stories from teachers where the student couldn’t even be bothered to copy and paste, they just printed off a page and handed it in.

   Heaven help the teacher if they fail a student for doing so.

   Heaven help the student when they enter the REAL world and find out that they have to work for a living is harder than school.
