    Interesting the American media might be more fixated on it than Kiwis. My daughter moved down there two years ago, and they DO a lot of things “differently”. It really is confusing keeping north straight down there with the sun in the “wrong place”.

    Its even more confusing to have Christmas in summer on one of the longest days of the year.

    I find it annoying having a day off on the one of the shortest days of the year.
    I miss seeing shop Santas sweating profusely in silly red suits as people in shorts or skimpier clothing walk past.
    I miss the southern hemisphere. :(
