    @Gore Bane

    They didn’t have real health care. They got a policy that could be canceled the moment they got sick. That’s stupid!

    40 years I paid into my insurance. I liked it and wanted to keep it.
    Cancer costs a fair amount, not as much as I paid in but still a substantial amount.
    My insurance company (Blue Cross) cancelled after one year of getting treatment.
    Hard to contain my anger it is.
    Ignorant liars are not getting much slack anymore, I get grumpy when my colon won’t stop hurting.

    My wife had cancer surgery about 8 years ago.
    She’s since switched jobs two times.
    She’s never been refused coverage due to a pre-existing condition.
    She’s never been cancelled.
    She goes for oncological check-ups every six months. $35 co-pay to see the specialist.

    my friend’s wife had breast cancer. insurance covered some treatments. when it came back, they covered NONE. my friend lost his home, his patents worldwide trying to raise the money for treatments. he lost everything AND his wife died.
    under the affordable care act, she could have lived. AND, had a home to come home to.
