That old dictator of Zimbabwe’s BD just recently. Over 80 and he still won’t step down. Mugabe didn’t start out that way but he stayed in long past when he should have gone home and became a despot. Like N. Korea, a personal kingdom.

The 21st February Movement is an organisation created to celebrate Mugabe’s birthday each year, 89 this year
This year the lucky town is Bindura, a mining town in the north.
Residents were ordered to take an hour off work Friday to clean up the streets. Youths had been ordered to raise US$600,000 dollars for the party and the Mbada diamond mining company is providing the 89 kilogram cake. :-|

Still manages to pull in 1/3rd of the votes, along side Prime Minister’s Morgan Tsvangirai’s Movement for Democratic Change.

Don’t know how much longer this Unity Government will last. As long as the 21st February Movement I suppose?
