    Now I understand the origin of the pig in Garfield. There’s a good read on this strip on Wikipedia.

    Hang on to those books. according to Wikipedia, all the U.S. Acre books are no longer in print.

    I read these too, but up here they weren’t called U.S.Acres. Alas, I no longer have them, as I have downsized my belongings, so I can’t tell you what the title was, but it was definitely Jim Davis who wrote it. And “Acres” was in it, but not “U.S.”
