Applauded by both the Washington Post and Wired magazine, Too Much Coffee Man is just the twitchy, existential Superhero-everyman for these high-octane times. The pre-eminent icon of caffeine culture, TMCM gives us wild flights of fancy and dazzling monologues, twisted commentary and endless dollops of over-amped anxiety.

Terrible short stories. Sad tales about sad people. And the articles! Talk about burying the lead. You can to finish the article before you know what it’s about.
However, the cartoons are good.

I see is isn’t a nude jacuzzi. But the New Yorker has its ups and downs in the literary department.

Hmmm, well IMHO, The New Yorker is one of the best and most sophisticated magazines in the country. But it’s just too much to read from cover to cover every week and still get anything else done.

It’s always a treat to read a new TMCM! Glad you’re still at it, Shannon.

@rhmaustin
I agree, it is densely packed.

Without the cartoons, nobody would read the New Yorker.

It’s the same with Hustler. Sure the chicks are nice but it’s the cartoons that make it.

Yay, more TOO MUCH COFFEE MAN, and a tip of the hat to The New Yorker, to boot! (Though I confess the cartoons are my favorite part. :-))

i would like a “cliff notes” version of the NYer (many of the articles are just too darn long with details I really don’t need to wade through)—though the medical articles are generally fascinating, and some of the humor pieces are good (and some not so funny); and i am addicted to the cartoons!

Too bad there are no more new Charles Addams cartoons there though.

Hustler has better cartoons!

Is there any point to showing the same cartoon for months
on end? Just wondering.
