The thought of one man running this country by fiat makes me very uncomfortable.

Not sure why everyone gets so bent out of shape about executive orders. Congress has 90 days to vote to overrule the orders. Congress still has the last say. They would just have to stand up and say they don’t want employees of federal contractors to have the higher minimum wage, which is probably irrelevant anyway, since most contractors are higher skilled workers already getting more than $10.10/hr already.

Please keep your cool, especially since you are one of the rational conservatives
    .
You might want to address that to the borderline flaggable post by Dr. Warbucks.

" I truly do not get it.“

Excellent. Recognizing the problem is an important first step.

”Checks and balance is to be messy and slow by nature but the President is not “chained” he was to be apart of the process?“

Funny, I don’t remember you complaining like this when Bush was issuing executive orders and signing statements at a rate higher than Obama’s.

”Obamacare he got what he wanted."

So why don’t we have single payer, Harley? Were you really that oblivious during the year plus that Obamacare was stripped of so much, in a fruitless attempt to appease Republicans?
