Sequestration is daily displayed as the acme of political buffoonery. Our elected officials have definitely perfected one thing in the last few years, partisanship and gridlock are at historical heights. Interestingly though, they did manage to unanimously weaken the “insider trading rules” that applied to them and quietly rush them through congress for Obama’s eager signature. It was one of their quickest and most efficient actions of this congress. I guess there isn’t much question that they can cooperate on issues, as long as they only apply for their benefit.

You do remember that sequestration was originally proposed by our President, don’t you?

Sequestration is the headsman’s ax to damage then later destroy the New Deal and related items.

So finally “Obama” makes the insane austere cuts that radical hate-filled extremist right-wingers have been clamoring for and now radical hate-filled extremist right-wingers are up in arms that Obama is cutting government.

You radical hate-fileed extremist right-wingers stand for one thing: hurting Obama.

Even if it means hurting the country you claim to love, you’ll put all your energy into trying to hurt Obama. Even if it means your twisted political party slides into irrelevance, you’ll spend all your emotional energy hating on Obama at the cost of your own kids’ future.

Wow. The lie that Obama wanted sequestration repeated seven times. A new record? It was A RANSOM PAYMENT. To the brain-dead GOTP, who wanted to destroy the economy by not raising the debt ceiling, but DIDN’T KNOW WHAT THEY WANTED IN EXCHANGE, because they were scared to mention the words “Social Security,” “Defense,” or “Medicare.” Read your history people. You’re fooling no one but yourselves.

What is President Obama doing with the remaining $3800 billion dollars he gets to spend this year?

If President Obama gave a million dollars to EVERYONE in Atlanta, Boston, Detroit, San Francisco and WashingtonDC, he would still have enough left over to buy GM, Ford and Chrysler.

What IS he do with all that money?
Penny wise? I don’t know but definitely Dollar foolish.
Certainly not running the government efficiently.

Just FYI, a cut to special needs kids has come due to the sequester. That in plain English means the kids who are in K-12 in our state have to start taking CT (Community Transit), Dart or walk to school. In my daughters case. That’s a 10 block walk on a road under construction. A 1 hour and 9 minute bus ride to a park and ride. Wait 15 minutes take another bus 10 minutes then cross a busy street and climb 121 stairs to school. Because it will take
so long for all the kids (special needs kids) to get to school they are going to have a slow start. 7:30 to 9:30 quiet reading time. They will then do that in reverse to get home. Did I mention that these are the 60 plus special needs kids?
The Republican senators who voted not to work with my Democratic senator to make a reasonable budget should get voted out and should have to spend this much time and effort to get to work.
