    “We must all buy arms to protect ourselves from the NRA!”
    .
    The NRA is there to protect your rights, but you can fully give them up either by moving or voting at the ballot box for Democrats.

    Kato and the others can’t move away soon enough.. Kim in North Korea will provide them with a place to live without guns. I will donate to help pay for the tickets

    The ACLU is there to protect your rights, even your right to bear arms. The NRA is there to frighten you out of your money with lies and bogeymen.

    The NRA is all about gun safety and sensibility. I don’t own a gun and don’t want to no matter how far down the tubes prez hussain sends us. The ACLU is all about its own liberal agenda and the ‘rights’ of the left.

    @alcors3 “The NRA is all about gun safety and sensibility.”

    Back in the ’90s, George H W Bush made the news when he quit the NRA in disgust over a newsletter they sent out referring to government agents as “jack booted thugs.”

    Sorry, that would be bad for the major arms manufacturers who are the backers of the NRA.

    The NRA may have once been about gun safety, which is why they used to call for universal background checks. Now it’s purely for protecting their corporate sponsors from liability, and drumming up business by scaring people who aren’t very smart and getting them to buy ever more guns, no matter how many Americans have to die.

    @Ms. Ima

    One, because at the behest of the NRA, the GOP has been filibustering ANY nominee for the head of the ATF. If they wanted to enforce laws, step one would be hiring someone to do that. Two, if the NRA wanted to enforce laws, they’d allow laws to be passed. There ARE no laws that prevent people from selling guns to criminals, and the GOP just filibustered one. The NRA has to be stomped into irrelevance by voting out the cowardly worms in the Republican party.

    La Pierre’s leadership of the NRA has made Al Qaeda seem “reasonable”. As a long time gun owner, I can’t think of an organization in the U.S. that actually poses a greater threat to making folks LOSE their “rights” to bear arms. It’s their No Rational Alternative approach.

    Yet you won guns for self protection, and you do not want anyone else to won guns for self protection.
