Jules Feiffer has described Tony Auth best, "His perspective is that of a bemused and often angry comic historian. Irony, never a favorite form with Americans, is his meat and potatoes. He is not smug, and though he can be mean, he is never mean-spirited. Auth is a moralist and an optimist. He insists, even in this day and age, that hope is more than the name of a right-wing comedian or the shtick of a reactionary president."

According to a high ranking democrat it will be hundreds of millions……
And is it not sad that Obama wants this to hurt as much as he can turn the knife so he can hype it up then blame it on the Elephant.
And is it not sad that this last round of hype and blame was about the GROWTH. Not how much the government is pay NOW vs last year. We are spending MORE this year then last. But yet Obama has lost the scalpel he told McCain he was going to use to cut the dept in half. The dept has tripled.
So I have no idea where Tony got this idea except from the white house desk of Hype and blame.

Rednecks: “Let’s bring in sequester so everybody gets hurt.”
Obama: “Bad idea; people will get hurt.”
Rednecks: “Whaaaa, Obama is scaring people.”

Easy. First you drink the Kool Aid; the more the better, thinking is bad.
2nd you listen to “the anointed” and don’t question them, if you drink enough of the kool aid, this shouldn’t be a problem…

The “sequester”, like the ACA , will still take time to “kick in” and take effect. Interesting that Republicans blame the ACA for “losses” that won’t kick in for another two years, just like they say job losses aren’t real, because they didn’t hit on the first day of the sequester.
Republican economic policies, especially yes, under “W”, did have a domino effect that took time to be disaster, now that the bleeding his stopping, they’re complaining, and still insisting the rich can’t provide a transfusion to the economy, and job creation.
You don’t HAVE to be an idiot to vote Republican, well, unless you’re among those “working class” folks in the middle class the “one percent” see as a risk to their wealth creation and expansion.

Eliminate the cap on Social Security and tax stock sales. Problems solved.

Recently Republican governors said they would expand Medicaid in their home states, including Rick Scott in FL. Trouble is the House committee voted NO so we are turning down more federal money that would have saved lives and created health care jobs. That is stupid.

Harley said, “The dept has tripled”.
*
The debt is $16,66 trillion today (I checked a debt clock just now). When was it $5.53 trillion?
*
Answer: A few months into W’s first term.
*
So your point is…?
