The absolute gall of a conservative complaining about that boggles the mind.

Finally, you concede that the problem was there four years ago.
Economies don’t go kaput overnight, it takes a dedicated effort and years of mismanagement.

So four years ago it was critical, who did that?

The cartoon implies that the government is supposed to be the one who fixes the economy. I don’t disagree that it should play a key role, but there’s nothing here about how our business “leaders” are screwing things up as well.

The economy is the same as it was at the end of the Reagan administration, Good numbers, but the worker is left out of the profits swallowed up by the executives.

President Barack Obama’s economic policies are proving disastrous for the country, says Peter Morici, a professor of international business at the University of Maryland.

“No president could have conceived a better program for shutting down jobs creation, collaring growth, and setting America on the path to decline than Mr. Obama’s team,” he states. “It’s an absolute tragedy what’s happening to the United States.”

Without the falling adult participation rate in the workforce, unemployment would be near 10 percent, Morici says. “But certainly we’re not in the soup as we expected we might be.”

Hey, he says some good things about the economic growth as well reflecting reality.

When it comes to the economy I feel the American people are being used as a bunching bag. The creepy thing is they kind of like it that way.

Yeah, I just read that thing with this Peter Morici. He tells a right-wing reporter that the key to prosperity is cutting taxes for the rich, getting rid of regulations on business, and making sure no one has health care but the rich. Why not add attack Iran and outlaw gays? That will help the economy too, won’t it? The guy’s a choad.

Um, it WAS Hoover’s fault. Just as it would have been McCain’s fault, if he had had the chance to do what Hoover did, which was to stop all government spending, taking away a large percentage of American commerce and plunging the US (and most of the world) into a depression instead of leaving it at a bad recession.

And tell me you’ll stop blaming Obama the moment he leaves office. I need a good laugh.

If the totally irresponsible GOP would help, we could be over the Bush recession by now.

Wow, 8 years of jerking the economy around, and ultimately trashing it, under Bush, and all of this garbage about how Obama can’t get it back on its feet in 4, in spite of lower unemp and the DOW near 15,000.
Some cooperation from the GOP might get things going, but they wouldn’t even consider doing anything that might make the President look good
