In case anyone’s wondering, South Beach is Miami’s lame-ass, commercialized attempt at a Greenwich Village. There are a few gays there, but mostly tourists, club kids, idiot frat-boy-types and lots & lots of fake breasts.

Boy-oh-boy, am I ever glad to be back in NYC.

Your 5-10% number is quoting a flawed study from the 40’s. The best current research says the number of gays in our society is 1-2%.

Who still deserve to be accepted and respected.

Hey, not all New England is filled with Teddy think alikes. Some of us refuse to read the NY Times to see what the damned Yankees are up to. We already have Red Sox Nation Come on down Fenway and call us socialists.

Well those figures go both ways so your argument is a mathematical wash. Not to mention a waste of comic space. Back then it was not even don’t ask don’t tell. It was don’t care, there is the enemy shoot or die. My how far we have come when what one does in the privacy of their own bedroom becomes a big deal.

Florida should be given back to the Seminoles, not to Spain and certainly not to Cuba. Texas and Arizona were taken from Mexico in the same war that stole California and New Mexico, so they need to go back to Mexico too. Regardless of the Gay question, the USA should give back all the lands it has stolen by violence. Wich is pretty much everything except for Utah and the Northwest.

Oh, and New York City, which was peacefully bought for $24 from people who did not even really lived full-time in Manhattan.

Oh, but then, the English stole it from the Dutch. The Brits were led by Charles I and his brother, both of them sons of James I, who was definitely Gay.

Correction: “did not even really live” - the final d is a typo.

@ Chikuku: Texas won its own independence from Mexico, with little to NO help from USA. New Mexico and the rest are part of the Mexican-American War. A Lone Star Lover

Like your cartoon but your sense of history is kinda lacking.

That whole section in the middle was bought (not fought over) from the French, and that includes Oklahoma, so none of this cartoon applies to that.

But hey, if someone was really homophobic they probably wouldn’t care about the actual history so maybe the cartoon is really spot on.
