    yeh, those unelected fools who do they think they are? If the Harvard law guy who is our president does not understand the role of the Supreme court then why should a loony Comic strip writer either. They are not there to judge facts based on the law of the land. they where put there to pass what ever Obama dreams up.

    ^ Please. We’ve all seen the Republican talking heads whine about “activist judges” when they rule against you, but somehow they’re all fine and dandy when they agree with you.

    “…one little case”? Have we already forgotten Freedom of speech for corporations?
    We haven’t seen the decision on the health care bill yet, so we don’t know how activist it will be, but there does seem to be a trend.

    The Trend is basically “The Golden Rule”
    “Whoever Has The Gold Makes The Rules”.
    In these cases, it is the health care and Insurance Industries, and “Corporate America” that has the gold, not the average American citizen!

    I just don’t see how Obama thinks this is judicial activism when everyone knows the supreme court has the right to overturn clearly unconstitutional laws.

    It’s not clearly unconstitutional. That’s why it’s in front of the Supreme Court.

    Or how about Obama’s guy going in front of those “unelected group of people” and can not even get his facts straight on what he is arguing about? Duuuh it not tax it penalty but we want you to see it tax because we allowed to tax so it tax.
    And talk about “activist judges”? It was not to long ago a certain lady was put on the court. The big sell? The color of her skin and she would be a champion. There where two strips that ticked me off. One was she was drawn as the lady justice with her looking under blindfold, and the other she was a batter up to plate and not the ump behind the plate. And these where meant as a COMPLIMENT! Think about it.

    If you helped write the law should you be able to judge whether or not it should or should not stand? Would that make you an “activist judge”
    Justice Kagan helped write Obamacare!

    I find it amusing that all Obama did was point out it’s the Republicans who’ve complained endlessly about “judicial activism” when they didn’t get their way, but with a court that does give them “their way”, Frank Sinatra can be heard on the sound track.

    Real Slow for the Dem Libs. Activism is when a law or activity is supported by the Court when there is no foundation for it in the Constitution. Disallowing a law because there is no foundation for that law or activity is quite another thing.

    The US Supreme Court has declared a total of 1,315 laws (as of 2002, the most recent year for which statistics are available; the database may be updated in 2012) unconstitutional using the process of judicial review.

    @Ms. Ima

    Wow, Are you sure? I mean did you go to Harvard and not write any editorials or anything while there? And maybe study law or maybe the constitution or something? And YOU knew this, 1,315 laws. Wow that is a lot.
    How many did Obama say again? None?
    Lame steam media wants me to carry on now and not look or talk about this. got to go.
