Where I live we have a flock of parrots that are the offspring of escaped pets. They are very noisy and fun to watch.

If you get a Norwegian Blue, just be careful which shop you go to, and make sure the feet aren’t nailed to the perch.

This is why I don’t keep birds – I love them, and would love to have one, but in our house the dog and cat hazards are to great to allow a bird out of the cage, and permanent caging is cruel to a creature born to enjoy the whole heavens.

My Cockatiel is free to fly around the home. He will sit on my shoulder when I am outside. I am sad when I hear a canary sing. It is a call of loneliness and longing to have a companion.

Never expected this. Budgie will now fly with all the others and will never again be caged.

NAILED to the perch? Seriously? I don’t nor ever have owned birds, but that is just CRUEL! Really, they do that?

Oh my God, this is just too sad. We had canaries when I was a kid, oh, how I hope there is a Rainbow Bridge!!!
