    Just look at most people on the streets these days. They definitely have more than one stomach…..

    True. Someone can’t count. The stomach of ruminants [which is what a cow is] has four compartments: the rumen, reticulum, omasum and abomasum…

    From “The basic answer that most people look for from this question is that cattle, a cow, or any other bovine such as a bull, a steer, a heifer, or even a bison or buffalo has FOUR stomachs. However, physiologically speaking, cattle do not have four stomachs; they have four digestive compartments interconnected as a single stomach.”
    When I was a kid, sometime back around the War of 1812, they taught us in school that cows had four stomachs. It seems truth must change from time.
