Make the old bat walk…

You are allowed to go through a yellow light. They wouldn’t write a ticket for that.

She got out of the ticket – the old bat was good for something,

In my state, if you are close enough when it’s yellow you can go through it. I’m not going to risk locking up my brakes or ending up in the middle of the intersection trying to stop. It would also depend on how fast the light turns from green, to yellow, to red. Some are pretty darn fast while others hold out a bit longer.

@Perkycat
That’s debatable…

Generally, if the light turns red before you reach the other side of the intersection it is regarded as running a red light. If you make it across on the yellow you’re OK. The whole point of yellow lights is to prevent rear enders and/or sliding into the middle of the intersection.

Gramma is obnoxious but folks don’t get ticketed for ‘running a yellow light.’
