    I hadn’t heard of parents trying to keep their kids away from kids whose parents voted for Obama, but knowing the kind of people who now make up a large segment of the GOP, it wouldn’t surprise me in the least. After all, the GOP is full of people who believe the world is 7,000 years old, and that cave men and dinosaurs frolicked together. It’s full of folks who refuse to acknowledge climate change or evolution. And it’s a haven for rascists, people who don’t think much for women or their rights and rather scary gun-nuts.
    Actually, I might not want my kids to play with kids whose parents voted Republican.

    This is just more of the same stereotyping. Most Republicans and Democrats are moderates. The political parties don’t really represent us.

    I avoid the extremists from both ends of the spectrum and my son picked up on that at an early age


    He was pretty serious about a girl whose family was hard core right wingers and I know that was a big part of their ultimate incompatibility


    Pretty sure the results would have been the same if they had been big time liberals


    I raised my son to think for himself and he wouldn’t be any happier with a party line parrot than I would

    There is the guy in Pine, AZ, who owns a gunshop. He put a sign in his window after the election saying the he wouldn’t sell anything to anyone who voted for Obama because they lacked the judgement to own a gun. How he was going to find out might have been a problem. Got a lot of attention nationwide, and he sold a ton of guns.
