I wonder what a Star Wars film directed by Steven Spielberg would be like.

What will a Star Wars film directed by John Lasseter look like?

Mr. Spielberg has said no way, not happening.
Too bad Edward D. Wood Jr. has passed on. Imagine Plan 10 from the Empire!

I wouldn’t want Spielberg anywhere near SW.

I’d like to see a Star Wars film directed by John Waters. It’s a pity Divine is dead.

Good moment for a Tex Avery reaction here: hat flies into air, eyes bug out and smash monitor, brain pops out of skull on a spring, etc.

Yea Spielberg said no to ever directing Star Wars to much respect for George.

You don’t have to worry: Spielberg has said more than once recently that he has no intention of trying it. Not his genre. He’d rather leave it to Lucas. It’ll be interesting to see if Disney hires George to direct any of their proposed sequels.

They should give J.J. Abrams a crack at it.

Spielberg science-fiction movies are pretty bad.

@K M
Nobody would hire Lucas to direct a movie based on his merits. He hasn’t made a good movie since 1977.

..Yeah,E.T.;Close Encounters, & War Of The Worlds are only ‘classic’ movies!…

After what he did to Star Trek, I wouldn’t even let him direct my wedding video, if I had a wedding coming up.
Karl Urban as Dr. McCoy was great though.

War of the Worlds was pretty bad. Definitely doesn’t belong on a list with the other two you mentioned.

I don’t know which one 3hour referred to…
The 1953 version IS a classic. The recent one is a piece of crap.
