   Yea Spielberg said no to ever directing Star Wars to much respect for George.

   You don’t have to worry: Spielberg has said more than once recently that he has no intention of trying it. Not his genre. He’d rather leave it to Lucas. It’ll be interesting to see if Disney hires George to direct any of their proposed sequels.

    Nobody would hire Lucas to direct a movie based on his merits. He hasn’t made a good movie since 1977.

    After what he did to Star Trek, I wouldn’t even let him direct my wedding video, if I had a wedding coming up.

    Karl Urban as Dr. McCoy was great though.

    War of the Worlds was pretty bad. Definitely doesn’t belong on a list with the other two you mentioned.

    The 1953 version IS a classic. The recent one is a piece of crap.
