Art holds a mirror up to Nature. The Buckets come along, turn the mirror on Art and say, “Look how goofy you’re acting. Now get to work, Art. Your kids need an Xbox 360.”
The Buckets comic strip isn’t a parody of family life. Parodies are filled with hearts and rainbows or enraged tirades and dramatic confrontation. The Buckets, though? Nope. Real life, baby. It’s funny because it’s on a page and not in your house at the moment. Next week, when it’s happening to you, you’ll thank us for reminding you that it’s supposed to be funny.
Greg Cravens looks in the mirror and see not himself, but all of us. And then he draws up the silly, grand, goofy, thrilling, utterly human things we do and calls it The Buckets.

Why did the chicken cross the road? Here we go again.
daniel_bel said, 2 months ago
Well technically, viewed from outside the planet the chicken moved its feet and the road went under it. So the question is why did the road cross the chicken? And how can such a small bird move an entire planet? Also did the expended energy change something to the global warming rate?

@daniel_bel
No, but throwing the planet off its axis probably would.
Good to see Toby working on a project to suit his “Famous Scientist” ambitions.

Chickens feed all day so they are constantly moving.

Other Questions to Ponder:
When (if ever…) did the chicken actually cross the road?
Where did said chicken (if they ever existed…) did they cross the road?
Also, was a it really a Road, or was it a Street. Maybe a Boulevard? Maybe an Avenue? How about if it was a Parkway? Then what?

The chicken wouldn’t have had to cross the road if it hasn’t been too far to walk around.
