Art holds a mirror up to Nature. The Buckets come along, turn the mirror on Art and say, “Look how goofy you’re acting. Now get to work, Art. Your kids need an Xbox 360.”
The Buckets comic strip isn’t a parody of family life. Parodies are filled with hearts and rainbows or enraged tirades and dramatic confrontation. The Buckets, though? Nope. Real life, baby. It’s funny because it’s on a page and not in your house at the moment. Next week, when it’s happening to you, you’ll thank us for reminding you that it’s supposed to be funny.
Greg Cravens looks in the mirror and see not himself, but all of us. And then he draws up the silly, grand, goofy, thrilling, utterly human things we do and calls it The Buckets.

Oh yeah, and I remember coming home with something we already had or without something we needed. Two heads are better than one. :)

Even though I’ve learned to use the memo feature on my cell phone, I still prepare my shopping lists with pen and paper. After 25 years in logistics, I seldom have problems with inventory management except for making my wife crazy trying to keep the cupboards organized. No, I’m not anal-retentive, just methodical.

The best way to grocery shop using cell phones is for both go to different stores with the list and find which store has the cheapest price on what you need.

If its something unusual or for things for a recipe, then I use the memo thingy on the phone. Ohterwise, I just free format …ie hunt the perimeter of the store for the basics. ….. (i had forgotten I read this last night and already posted a comment – I must really be tired)
