Art holds a mirror up to Nature. The Buckets come along, turn the mirror on Art and say, “Look how goofy you’re acting. Now get to work, Art. Your kids need an Xbox 360.”
The Buckets comic strip isn’t a parody of family life. Parodies are filled with hearts and rainbows or enraged tirades and dramatic confrontation. The Buckets, though? Nope. Real life, baby. It’s funny because it’s on a page and not in your house at the moment. Next week, when it’s happening to you, you’ll thank us for reminding you that it’s supposed to be funny.
Greg Cravens looks in the mirror and see not himself, but all of us. And then he draws up the silly, grand, goofy, thrilling, utterly human things we do and calls it The Buckets.

I feel that way when I read all the comics on here. :)

It’s a lonely accomplishment though. No one else appreciates what you have done. But it is self-satisfying.

Looks to me like he was playing a mixture of Spider-Solitaire and FreeCell. If he was playing Spider-Solitaire well 100 move is pretty good. If you want recognition then play the online versions, but I use them as brain relaxers. They clear the mind of the distracting thought and afterward you’re ready to tackle the big problems again.

I was playing Spider Solitaire only yesterday!
I played twice… Lost the first time and won the second time.
The firework effects are pretty amazing.

Playing such games is habit forming so I don’t.

@Perkycat
Unless you’re playing an MMOG.
I play Star Trek Online, and if I help with something, or make an accomplishment, people are ALWAYS congratulating me. :D

Yup. GoComics is my big vice. Unlike GF who’s playing online games for hours on end… it’s an addiction.

Freecell is a bit more work. Solitaire is good for down time as is Sudoku. Give the brain a rest.
.
Though after the test I took last week, maybe I should be doing Logic Problems for my down time.
