Art holds a mirror up to Nature. The Buckets come along, turn the mirror on Art and say, “Look how goofy you’re acting. Now get to work, Art. Your kids need an Xbox 360.”
The Buckets comic strip isn’t a parody of family life. Parodies are filled with hearts and rainbows or enraged tirades and dramatic confrontation. The Buckets, though? Nope. Real life, baby. It’s funny because it’s on a page and not in your house at the moment. Next week, when it’s happening to you, you’ll thank us for reminding you that it’s supposed to be funny.
Greg Cravens looks in the mirror and see not himself, but all of us. And then he draws up the silly, grand, goofy, thrilling, utterly human things we do and calls it The Buckets.

These two are NOT aging gracefully.

It takes a lot more work to age gracefully than it every did to look great when you were younger.

Welcome to the joys of getting old, but it’s infinitely better than the alternative!

Staying young forever? (I say that to my step-mom whenever she says that!)

Love Sarah’s reaction to Larry’s hirsute problems.

I’m glad my hair turned white 30 years early. My ears are becoming very hairy as are my eye brows but at least the rest of my body hasn’t become hairy yet.

Larry, no one is looking at you. They’re too worried you’re looking at THEM.

@Saucy1121
Saucy1121 seems to have gotten the gag today. Sarah can paint herself like a clown- does Larry notice? Heck, no! And to worry that you have crazy hairs on the backs of your hands is silly… nobody’s going to notice that at all!

Well done Sarah! I knew you could do it! Nice work on the eyes, nose, lipgloss! How did you get your eyes to glow? Whatever it is I love it! Today’s strip is amazing!!!!!
