Art holds a mirror up to Nature. The Buckets come along, turn the mirror on Art and say, “Look how goofy you’re acting. Now get to work, Art. Your kids need an Xbox 360.”
The Buckets comic strip isn’t a parody of family life. Parodies are filled with hearts and rainbows or enraged tirades and dramatic confrontation. The Buckets, though? Nope. Real life, baby. It’s funny because it’s on a page and not in your house at the moment. Next week, when it’s happening to you, you’ll thank us for reminding you that it’s supposed to be funny.
Greg Cravens looks in the mirror and see not himself, but all of us. And then he draws up the silly, grand, goofy, thrilling, utterly human things we do and calls it The Buckets.

I wonder if kids now-a-days could handle only one tv in the house that only gets 5 channels (if your lucky) and the only video game PONG

no tv, and no computer in the kids room. Sometimes I let them watch a movie in my room together if they have no homework.

As the joke goes, kids nowadays have so much stuff in their rooms, when I need to punish him, I tell him, “Go to MY room!!”

Kids that young needs the computer in the house not in their room. Where the parents can monitor he’s not slacking.

I never got to have a TV in my room until I was 17.
.
All the parenting experts and study gurus say the computer should be in a family room where parents can SEE you do your homework.

Sarah got GOOD sneak genes! Betcha she also has the EYES IN BACK OF HEAD genes!
