Art holds a mirror up to Nature. The Buckets come along, turn the mirror on Art and say, “Look how goofy you’re acting. Now get to work, Art. Your kids need an Xbox 360.”
The Buckets comic strip isn’t a parody of family life. Parodies are filled with hearts and rainbows or enraged tirades and dramatic confrontation. The Buckets, though? Nope. Real life, baby. It’s funny because it’s on a page and not in your house at the moment. Next week, when it’s happening to you, you’ll thank us for reminding you that it’s supposed to be funny.
Greg Cravens looks in the mirror and see not himself, but all of us. And then he draws up the silly, grand, goofy, thrilling, utterly human things we do and calls it The Buckets.

Speak for your generation, Dad, even though you might have mistaken “TV dinner” with the pizza. Your kids will be ignoring the TV as long as there is internet with social media. And order the pizza online.

Robert A. Heinlein describe Bread and Circus as the decline of all Democracies. Given as the common person who could vote his and desires over and instead of the voting for the best choices for the community.
Not bothering to even study the options on the table for vote, just what looks best to them.

“Obamaphone”, “Obamacare”, food stamps…what other bribes are there to garner votes?

That’s “Bushphone” and food stamps are pre-WW2.

I have genuine sympathy for anyone who lives in a place where Dominos is the best pizza they can get.

Sadly, the list seems endless. Obama and his cronies seem to come up with new ways to bribe the parasites on a daily basis.

Heck, we’d be happy with Domino’s here. All we have is some “cardboard and ketchup” knockoff. Have to drive nearly 50 miles for a moderately decent pie, 100 miles for one I’d call good.
Hunter7 said, 5 months ago
….but Dominio’s is yicky and there’s nothing on TV!

That does it! If I can`t have great pizza and good TV – then I`m takin` over! Someone bring me my sword and get me a horse!
