Art holds a mirror up to Nature. The Buckets come along, turn the mirror on Art and say, “Look how goofy you’re acting. Now get to work, Art. Your kids need an Xbox 360.”
The Buckets comic strip isn’t a parody of family life. Parodies are filled with hearts and rainbows or enraged tirades and dramatic confrontation. The Buckets, though? Nope. Real life, baby. It’s funny because it’s on a page and not in your house at the moment. Next week, when it’s happening to you, you’ll thank us for reminding you that it’s supposed to be funny.
Greg Cravens looks in the mirror and see not himself, but all of us. And then he draws up the silly, grand, goofy, thrilling, utterly human things we do and calls it The Buckets.

Oh my gosh, I hope little Eddie’s eyes don’t stay stuck like that. He’ll have to go to a Dr.

I see my Doctor only when I think it’s an emergency. I got tired of her telling me I was fat, and to lose weight.

BTW people. please don’t let me be the ONLY person to Vote Hubris at TopWebComics … I hate being the only one, and not seeing it rise in ranks. Let’s make Hubris! an international comic like The Buckets. :D

Scientists have been working on a shotless method of medicinal delivery similar to Star Trek’s hypospray. It can’t come soon enough!

Apparantly, According to my Dad I never screamed or cried when I got my shots.
But now…. I’m scared stiff of them.

Somewhere in my travels I read that the ancient Chinese paid their doctors to keep them well; once they got sick, the doctors didn’t get paid until they were healthy. Sounds like a great idea to me.

Chinese doctors don’t give shots. But they do use nasty looking needles for accupuncture.
