Having sold his first comic at age 19, Ralph Hagan saw early success in the comics business, with work also featured in The Saturday Evening Post Reader's Digest while he pursued a separate full-time career. In 2004, Ralph began cartooning full-time with passion.
Currently residing in the country west of Edmonton, Alberta, Ralph and Brenda make room in their family for three cats, a dog and four horses. Near farms with barns, of course.
Ralph would like to dedicate "The Barn" is dedicated to Ralph’s father Stan Hagan (his biggest fan) who passed away in 2004 -- and sincerely hopes they get the comics in heaven.

In my younger days, I conceived of a variation on the classic song.
“When you wish upon a star … you must fill out forms K137 and G 421 .. .in tripicate …’

That last minute cancellation fee is illegal I believe. The dentists and doctors around here stopped pulling that one some time ago.

I had a Dr. try to pull the cancellation fee garbage on me when her office called to reschedual less than 24 hours before the appointment! She wanted to “assist during another Dr’s surgery and it was in conflict.” I flat out told them I can’t come then because I had arranged child care for that time and that time only and couldn’t just come in the next day. They tried to claim I was canceling since I said I wasn’t going to come so I laid into them, and basicaly said if they couldn’t see me when we’d agreed upon 3 months ealier then schedual me for next week and I’ll call to cancel 48.5 hours before. So she said she’d have to check the next week’s schedual and call me back.
.
Funny thing, less than an hour later the office called back and said the conflicting surgery had been cancelled by the other doctor and the original time was avialable again. Personally, I think they were not heavlily booked and wanted to take the day off but when they found out they weren’t going to get another penny from me if they were just going to jerk me around they changed their minds.
