   The other morning at the restaurant a young couple sitting at a table were busy texting each other on their Smart Phones. How pathetic.

   I doubt it. They were either texting other people or sending photos to one another. People who don’t have smartphones don’t understand all the layering. Perhaps they were playing Words With Friends together…another possibility.

    Remember when people actually met in person? Now we have a new form of alienation and it is bad. Only the ones alienated still think that just because they text they are communicating. (Lack of personal interaction takes its toll.)
