The Argyle Sweater presents a surreal, hilarious (and sometimes punny) look at the world you think you know. Armed with a willingness to explore every edge of the surreal, Scott Hilburn’s creation presents his sharply unique take on history, everyday life and the truly absurd.

welcome back
kindly explain this cartoon. I don’t get it

“Racked up like a deuce, another runner in the night” was often mis-heard as “Wrapped up like a douche another rumor in the night”, especially in Manfred Mann’s cover of the song. For years I wondered what the song was about, then somebody told me it was about drag racing and then it all made sense.

All the pipes on a dragster resemble a calliope.

I hope I’m not wrong. For years I thought it was about a religous wacko, who found God, but went off the deep end.

I heard it was “revved up like a deuce”, as in a little deuce coupe.

No, sorry, still makes no sense to me – but then I don’t know anything about racing in women’s clothes.

You mean all these years I wasn’t the only one mumbling the line as I sang along to the radio?

@Johnny Diego
won’t google it and stay lucky
