I enjoyed that. Looked like great fun.
It’s bearly science but hugely entertaining.

    Thank you, Superpun,
It was great fun – though they do tend to edit out any truly interesting zoological information I share on air, which I suppose is to be expected seeing as this is for a late-night comedy talk show audience.

    Cheers, Chalkie J,
Actually it’s a juvenile Bald Eagle – she’s about 2 years old, and will get the characteristic yellow beak and white head and white tail between four and five years of age.

You shouldn’t hang out with such young chicks.

I’ve never encountered the show but from the above picture I can imagine it being a bit comedic. Saw some bald eagles when in Alaska / Canada last month.
    .
What is the presenter spraying the eagle with?

Very youthful and strong looking. You look OK, too BTG.

Just my luck. I don’t have a Facebook account. I’ll look it up on the Warden’s when I get back to the States.

Omg. That was hilarious. I can’t believe Ross’ producers scheduled live animals on the show with him. He’s afraid of almost everything.
I loved the eagle. You can have Lester (Punkie). lol The cat was beautiful. But I imagine Ross had that rug removed post haste. lmao

“Is that a legless lizard in your pocket….”

“Yes, and it expands! Wanna touch it?”

Is Ross a guest host, or the long-term host and they’re just too lazy to change the title to “Ross Lately”?

I’ve embedded the video in a comment window, so you don’t have to go to all that trouble.

    BTG -
Excellent, I’m going to check that out..

Oh by the way, was that spray bottle absolutely necessary..?

    @Triangle

    Thanks Ice Hole,
Well, the Bald Eagle really does enjoy being sprayed down, especially on a hot day. She normally opens her wings (like she did on air), and relishes the spritzing. When she’s nervous, cranky, or fed up she won’t do it – but more often than not she does exactly as you saw.
But no, not exactly essential, however I thought people might like to see Dakota enjoying herself while making the point that Bald Eagles are fishing eagles.
    Cheers,
    BTG
